Household helpers may not perform the following tasks:

- Garden maintenance.
- Care for children, the elderly and the sick.
- Cleaning business premises and common areas.

- Catering service, waste disposal (glass bubble, container park).

- Electronic service vouchers :
- Encoding of services: The approved company encodes the hours worked by the Household helper in the Sodexo electronic system.
- Validation notification: You receive a notification (by e-mail or via the application) informing you that a service has been encoded.
- Online validation: You must confirm the service via your Sodexo personal space or the mobile application.
- Correction or refusal: In the event of an error, you can contest the service before validating it.
- Payment: Once validated, the service is automatically paid for via the electronic service vouchers available on your account.
- Paper service vouchers :
- Service voucher: At the end of the service, give the Household helper one service voucher per hour worked.
- Checking information : Make sure all information is correctly filled in:
- First and last name
- Date of service
- Customer signature
- Avoid errors: Sodexo may refuse to accept an incorrectly completed voucher.
- Transfer to the company: The Household helper then transfers the service vouchers to the approved company for processing and payment.
The Household helper is authorized to run errands that meet essential daily needs, such as :
- Go to the bakery, the pharmacy…
She can’t :
- Buy furniture, household appliances, audio-visual equipment.
- Buy hot meals.
- Periodically distribute newspapers and magazines.
Yes, but only if she feels the situation is safe. The Household helper is free to refuse if she feels there is a risk to her safety. Any use of a stepladder must be carried out under suitable and safe conditions.
The time required depends on various factors, such as :
- The size of your home.
- The type of work to be done.
- Frequency of interventions.

According to the regulations, a service contract must last at least three consecutive hours.
Each hour of ironing is equivalent to one service voucher. Here is an estimate of the number of items that can be ironed in one hour:
- 8 to 9 shirts on a hanger
- 6 to 7 folded folders
- 8 to 9 classic pants
- 10 to 11 jeans
- 20 to 21 T-shirts
- 2 sets of sheets for 2 people
- 3 sets of sheets for 1 person
- 4 to 5 layers
These estimates may vary depending on the complexity of the ironing and the experience of the Household helper.
Household helpers generally use the following method to clean windows:
- Initial cleaning : Wash the glass with a sponge and squeegee, using a suitable cleaner or a solution of vinegar and water.
- Drying: Wipe glass with a soft cloth to remove streaks.
- Finishing: For optimum shine, finish with a paper towel.
We recommend the use of ecological products for environmentally-friendly cleaning.
To ensure effective cleaning, the Household helper will need the following products:
- Liquid soap: Suitable for different floor types.
- Degreasers: For toilets, baths and showers.
- Dishwashing liquid: Essential for the kitchen.
Choose eco-friendly products for a healthy, sustainable environment.
To facilitate the Household helper’s work, it is advisable to provide the following equipment:
Vacuum cleaner, Bucket, Brush, Squeegee with brush, Large squeegee, Small squeegee for windows, Mop, Cloths, Sponges, Paper towels, Ironing board, Iron (ideally a steam iron), Gloves.
Make sure the equipment is in good condition to guarantee an efficient service.
To optimize the Household helper’s working time, we recommend :
- Tidying up your home: A tidy space makes for more efficient cleaning.
- Prepare a task list: clearly indicate the rooms to be cleaned and the priorities.
- Give specific instructions: Mention areas requiring special attention or products to be used.
Good preparation makes the Household helper’s job easier and guarantees your satisfaction.
