What are the advantages of the service voucher system?

For each hour worked, you pay one service voucher. The law stipulates a minimum of 3 hours per performance.

One service voucher costs €10. For more than 300 service vouchers, the voucher costs €12 in Brussels.
One service voucher costs €9. For more than 400 service vouchers, the voucher costs €10 in Wallonia.
One service voucher costs €9. For more than 400 service vouchers, the voucher costs €10 in Flanders.

You can have 500 service vouchers per year with a maximum of 1.000 per household (‘under the same roof’).

Service vouchers give you a tax advantage that varies from region to region.

  • In Brussels, you receive a tax refund of €1,50 per service voucher for 163 vouchers.
  • In Flanders, you receive a tax refund of €1,80 per service voucher for 174 vouchers.
  • In Wallonia, you receive a tax refund of €0,90 per service voucher for 150 vouchers.

Young self-employed mothers receive 105 free service vouchers from their Social Insurance as maternity support.
